Disney D.O.N.E.

Our last day was spent by a Magic Kingdom Goodbye Kiss in the morning and then on to Hollywood Studios in the afternoon.

Daddy and Big were very patient while Lil' told all her favorites goodbye at MK. They couldn't wait to get over to the Big Kid Rides at Hollywood Studios. Big didn't play around and went right for the gusto riding Rockin' Rollercoaster all.by.himself. eeeeek!

While Big and Daddy did their thing, Lil' and I had our own fun. We made Disney Leaf Butterflies...

Got our faces painted...

and took our leaf butterfly and our painted faces to the Star Wars ride...

After Lil' had her fill, I had some time to catch up with my dear ole' friend , roommate, confidant and Chef Seamstress Extradordinaire for some good old fashioned in the park beer drinking and some much needed catch up. Love this girl...

In the end, Disney turned out to be a huge success. The kids had more fun than they knew they could handle, Daddy relaxed for a minute and forgot his burdens and I saw and was able to capture miracles in progress like this one...

Disney Part II

We pulled our tired bodies up and outta the bed on Day 2. With sore legs and tired backs, we swigged back coffee and Diet Cokes and headed over to Epcot. This is my favorite park. I wanted to make sure we did everything that I did when I was little and came to Disney. I remembered coming here - I think they will too...

There is something new there that we loved. They've added a Butterfly house and a ride called Soarin'. Soarin' was incredible and we flew over California with mouths wide open and pretended like we were running over the vineyards in Napa. Challenge: Try not to swing your feet on this ride. Impossible, I say!

this little guy had just been born and his wings hadn't uncurled yet. he was
getting a drink.

This is the part that I remember most. The water hoppers.

what do you think happens next? you guessed it!

 Lil' loved the Fairy Forest.

And was completely tuckered out at the end of the day...

Disney Part I

Sometimes as a parent, you can reach back and touch your own childhood. That's what happened for Daddy and I this past weekend. Last Wednesday, we picked Big up from school. The car was packed and only Daddy and I knew where we were going. As soon as Big got into the car, we pushed play on our little DVD player and the "Breaking News" video came across the screen letting the kids know exactly where we were headed....

The trip was a long one. But we made it safe and sound. Having Lil' with us this time was amazing. Her eyes lit up and she never stopped smiling the whole time.
Here we are pulling into Disney...

and heading into the park the next day...

i know, the sweetest.....

First stop was the Carousel at Magic Kingdom...

"Mama,  Can you believe it?  My dreams really did come true."
I can't make this stuff up.

Then on to the Carousel.

Next were the Tea Cups - twice. Blech...

H . O . double T Daddy.

At this point, we needed a little break so we decided to catch a little Disney Parade action.

Then it was time for Lil' and me to really slow it down. "It's a Small World Afterall"
